Software Engineering - Database Architecture
Jim Canright (BS Computer Sciences, UC Berkeley, 1975) founded Canright in 1982 after establishing a national reputation designing and developing innovative software applications for the manufacturing and distribution industries.

For the first ten years of our history, we consulted and developed custom software for companies like Boeing (GA), Columbia House (CO), General Mills (IL), Georgia Pacific (IL), Roadway International (IN), Stanislaus Food Corp (CA), Tropitone Furniture (CA, FL), and TRW (CA).

Internet Business Applications
In the early 90's, with the rise of the internet, we moved our focus to web database applications for businesses in the Northwest like: Consumer Cellular, DaKine, EE Schenck, Esco Stainless Steel, GeoTrust, Pacific NW Credit Union, Scrubmed, Soloflex, Symantec, Tektronix, Traux Harris, UPS Aviation, Wacker Siltronic, and Wieden + Kennedy.

Marketing - Internet Marketing - SEO
During the 'dot com boom' Canright worked with startup ventures as well as with established businesses transforming themselves to adapt to new realities presented by the internet. We deepened our appreciation of marketing and a strategic perspective on business development. Canright was an early leader in the field of search engine optimization and internet marketing.

Website Design - All Rounded Expertise
Before the end of the dot com boom (about 2001), Canright established a solid reputation as a provider of sophisticated web database software applications for business. We frequently did the engineering "backends" and worked with graphic artists and website designers who delivered the "front ends". Over the last seven years, Canright has enhanced its capabilities in visual interface and website design.
